Sub Zero

Wednesday, December 8th, 2010

When I got up this morning, it was below zero at our house in North Oaks. Somewhat later in the day, when an intrepid little trooper learned that her broken hoof had been declared fully healed, there was no reason to stay indoors.

Fall Travel

Thursday, October 7th, 2010

Pat and I recently got back from a really nice three-part vacation: A visit to Dave and Ashley in England, with a side trip to Wales. A short visit to London, which included a night at the theater to see “War Horse”. A stop over in Boston to see the Lang-Browns and the Fabianos. This […]

Puxatawnee Pat

Monday, September 13th, 2010

Patricia went to the doctor today for an appointment related to her broken foot. Much to Pat’s surprise, the doctor indicated another 6 weeks will be needed for the break to fully heal. It could be worse – that woodchuck in Pennsylvania frequently learns that winter is going to last for 6 more weeks 😉

Pat and I just got back from Doug and Kathy’s wedding in Boise. Beautiful outdoor ceremony, wonderful reception on an August day that proved to be quite pleasant. Pat’s stay in Boise turned out to be challenging, as her recently broken foot gave her problems. Fortunately, Doug was able to let her use his wheelchair. […]

Wedding in Jackson Hole

Wednesday, August 4th, 2010

Pat and I just got back from the wedding of Greg and Sarah in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. It was a great wedding. There were a few minor concerns about the weather, but none of the threats turned into anything serious. Here are a few snapshots from the trip:

South Carolina

Sunday, May 23rd, 2010

Recently Pat and I drove to Columbia, South Carolina, to look after Greg and Sarah’s house while they were out of town. This also involved looking after their dog, Moses. Since we brought Hana along, this provided them a great opportunity to play. They really enjoyed their time to tussle, though pictures make their interaction […]
